[The handwriting appearing across the page was a messy scrawl, one that you would perhaps see from a scientist, if said scientist was forced to take up calligraphy lessons because someone had gotten tired of trying to decipher his illegible scribbles. The lessons were perhaps not a success in the conventional sense as the handwriting was far from elegant, but at least people could now actually read what was being written.]

I must say that hatching out of a cocoon is not something I’ve ever experienced before, or at least, it’s not something I think I’ve ever experienced before~! I’m not sure if I would ever want to be born in such a way again. Once makes for an interesting experience, more than that makes for…

[Some ink splotches appeared on the page as the writer tapped the pen absent-mindedly while searching for the phrase he wanted.]

[When Breeze arrived at the Access Point, he'd find a certain sandy-haired man curiously poking at the elevator and studying the giant oak tree it was embedded in, only stopping when the other man drew level with him.]

Ah! Would you happen to be Breeze-san?

[He turns his head towards the sound of the other man's voice and gives a small grin.]

Hey there! Yes. That's me. You're Crimson, right? Interesting name.

[The grin was returned with a perfectly good-natured smile and innocent eyes.]

Is it? It seemed to fit the dream I had.

Well, we're supposed to take our names from our dreams so...

[He shrugs a little.]

That's what I was told anyway.

I was told that as well~! It's all very odd, but I suppose the best one can do is to just adapt.

[And for some reason, he felt that he was very good at adapting.]

[He checks out the surroundings.]

You staying in the free housing? I hear they kick us out.

Three weeks was the maximum I think... My greeter said we should get jobs by then.

So this really is a tree, huh? Seeing the tree-bits seems weird. Does it seem normal to you?

[He seemed to be a bit of a curious type. It was strange to be learning things about yourself that you should have known before.]

...and I haven't been to the islands yet, but that sounds kind of unreal.

It is quite interesting~! I don't think I've ever seen trees this large before! Or perhaps we've been shrunk and don't know it... I wonder if there's anyway for us to tell if we've been shrunk.

[All this was said very quickly and in the most excited tones as Crimson pulled a piece of bark from the tree, then reached up to snag of piece of leaf that he then stuffed into his pockets.]

Care to go exploring~?

[He didn't know if exploring itself is what drew him to the idea of going along, so much as just walking. Like finding an escape, but of what, he did not know.]

[Crimson pressed a button, watching in amazement as the elevator door slid open to allow them in.]

I wonder why there's an elevator in the middle of a tree.

[He takes a moment to think about it.]

Maybe because that was the only place to put it?
