[The handwriting appearing across the page was a messy scrawl, one that you would perhaps see from a scientist, if said scientist was forced to take up calligraphy lessons because someone had gotten tired of trying to decipher his illegible scribbles. The lessons were perhaps not a success in the conventional sense as the handwriting was far from elegant, but at least people could now actually read what was being written.]

I must say that hatching out of a cocoon is not something I’ve ever experienced before, or at least, it’s not something I think I’ve ever experienced before~! I’m not sure if I would ever want to be born in such a way again. Once makes for an interesting experience, more than that makes for…

[Some ink splotches appeared on the page as the writer tapped the pen absent-mindedly while searching for the phrase he wanted.]

A bad habit! And one must be careful not to accumulate too many of them~

[ the waitress soon returned with the coffee. Rabbit took a sip. Oh wonderful cup of bitter bliss! perfect! ]

[Crimson happily dug into his own coffee, mixing the ice cream into the caffeinated drink before happily slurping some up via a straw.]

[ Rabbit enjoyed his own coffee, taking a nice sip while picking up on conversations around them. The table next to them was talking about the weather; the one to their right, about the ice cream truck; the one over there about clothes shopping. Nothing particularly interesting, it seemed, but it all filtered through his mind. ]

Mmm~♥

[And then the idiot had to take a huge bite of ice cream and give himself brainfreeze, wincing in reaction as he clapped a hand to his mouth.]

Cold!

[ Rabbit laughed almost dropping his coffee in the process. He was shameless at times, but that was amusing. ]

Yeah, ice cream'll do that t'ya ♥

[Crimson pouted at him, almost looking like a kicked puppy before he let out an embarrassed laugh, finding Rabbit's amusement infectious.]

I seem to have gotten too excited.

Ya gotta take it slowly, else your head starts to feel like it's freezin', yeah?

Yes, but it's so good~!

Ya eat it slowly so ya can savor it. There's always more, yanno. That ice cream truck that's been runnin' around's got good stuff too.

[Immediately perking up in interest now.]

Ice cream truck~?

Yeah that tune that's been playin' all over the sphere lately. Kinda sounds like a music box in a tin can. Some sorta cart that serves strange ice cream. They always seem t' get the order wrong, but so far I've gotten all good stuff.

Is it easy to find?

The truck seems t' travel all over the place 'n seems t' stop a lot, but sometimes it just slips away, yanno?

[A pout before he cheers up.]

Well, perhaps the ice cream will taste even better after the challenge of finding it~!

[There was a lapse of silence as Crimson happily stuck another (smaller) spoonful of ice cream into his mouth again, washing it down with some cold coffee as he surreptitiously studied Rabbit.]

Ah, how long have you been here, Rabbit-san?

[ he happily sipped his coffee ]

That's quite long! Do you like it here?

[ he waved is hand a bit in a so-so motion. ]

It has its moments, yeah.

So it's not that great...

[Siiiiiiigh that is cut off by another spoonful of ice cream.]

[ he shrugged ]

Depends on who ya ask. Some people really like it here.
