[The handwriting appearing across the page was a messy scrawl, one that you would perhaps see from a scientist, if said scientist was forced to take up calligraphy lessons because someone had gotten tired of trying to decipher his illegible scribbles. The lessons were perhaps not a success in the conventional sense as the handwriting was far from elegant, but at least people could now actually read what was being written.]

Why were your memories taken away? There are a lot of whys that we do not have answers to. Information is something that must be gathered with care, and then a lot of grains of salt. I do not know why salt is needed but it keeps being mentioned. If you think you know something, you might be right and you might be wrong. And too much right will get you killed.
