006 || Of Discoveries and Naughtiness

The new Wilderness was quite interesting... There were a lot of things to see and read, even if some of them were a little... odd. But the robot was fun to play with!

[Even if he did break it at first... But he managed to fix it and even brought back souvenirs.]

Lin-chan~ I have a gift for you~! And Bastet-san, I think you might be interested in seeing some of these.

[ Always. Ruining her plans. Always. She was about to say yes, but then Crimson just had to go and step between them. Metaphorically speaking.

And he had already started cooking, if she's supposed to learn she has to do it now. But maybe she can have some patience and get rid of him later. So Lin turns back to Bastet.

There is no rush, we can go whenever you want.

[Bastet uses Haien once more, summoning a larger flame to incinerate the pile. Destroying what was there certainly helped with some of her irritation, even knowing there was more out there.]

Let's go later, then, so we don't interrupt your lesson. [Turns back towards the house, laying a brief, careless hand on Lin's head.] Maybe I should watch too.

[ There was a barely noticeable blush on Lin's cheeks as Bastet's hand touched her head, and suddenly she wasn't all that irritated anymore by Crimson's presence.

As she walked back inside she briefly glanced at the pillow, then focused only on Crimson and what he was doing. Not that she actually thought he had anything to teach her, but Bastet surely would have appreciated the effort. Acting like an adult was always appreciated.

[She sighs, her eyes flicking over to the pillow by the door; as offensive as it is, at least nobody else can get to it there.]

[Once back in the house, she settles herself against the kitchen wall to watch Crimson cook.]

What kind of oil is that?

[She figures it can't hurt to learn one more dish; she only knows how to make about three things, and sometimes getting takeout is a hassle.]

[ Lin gave him an annoyed nod as she glanced the vegetables and the duck. Cutting things to pieces? Yes, yes she could do that. ]

Where did you learn?

[ Because Lin had tried and was sure in her previous life she had never spent much time learning to cook, but wasn't sure whether that was because she simply wasn't interested, or didn't have the time. ]
treeleopardess: (I know there's food in there dammit)

[Comes closer, reaching out to snag a piece of carrot from the prepared veggies next to the stove. She also peers more closely at the sauce, trying to see if she recognizes it.]

[ Lin watched him, it wasn't fair that he was so good at this and didn't even remember where he'd learn it, where she just-- well. She's learn. And then she's make Bastet dinner. And it would be better than his. ]

Do you know how to cook other things, or only this?
treeleopardess: (i see you)

He can make other things, too.

[In fact, he'd cooked for her quite a bit since his arrival, taking it upon himself to see that Bastet ate something other than takeout all the time.]

[ Lin bit her tongue when she just wanted to say she didn't like meat anyway, so how spicy he made it didn't really matter.

If Bastet liked it, she could like it too.
]

This is enough for now.

[ Unless she could take lessons when Bastet wasn't there, then lie about who she had learned it from. And, most importantly, so her attention wouldn't have to be shared between learning and trying to keep Crimson and Bastet as far from one another as possible. ]

Same for me.

I'm fine with how you normally make it.

[Bastet usually took hers medium spicy, and assumed that would be fine for all of them.]

I will keep that in mind. Is the table set?
