007 || Of Leather Pants and Bare Chests

Would anyone happen to know where my shirt disappeared off to? I mean, the necklace and leather pants are quite nice, but it does tend to get a bit chilly without a shirt on.

And yes, I did try putting on other shirts and jackets, but they all vanish within seconds of my pulling them on! I really do hope they return soon... Having to shop for a new wardrobe wasn't in my plans.

[He nods once to show that he's listening.]

Toushi was along when one of Genius' memories were shown. Apparently, Genius had a job where he erased people's memories.

[sighs, tapping her fingers against the mug]

Toushi didn't take it well, and punched him in the face. They feuded for a while after that, and while I can't say one side acted better than the other, I will say that Genius' friends ganged up to yell at Toushi whenever they saw the chance. And he couldn't understand how they could be mad at him for punching Genius, when in his mind, Genius' actions had been so much worse...so of course that just made him more defensive.

But they were worried that Genius would be in danger if people found out what he used to do...or if the powers that be concluded that he could reverse everyone's memory loss.

Ah...

[His fingers unconsciously mimic hers.]

And...?

Well, the whole situation left a lot of bad blood between the two, as well as between Toushi and Genius' friends. And you've seen how paranoid Genius can be, so I guess he figured you'd find out about him sooner or later and decide not to talk to him anymore.

[she shrugs]

Hmm...

[Silence, then...]

Well then, I guess he owes me an ice cream date~!

[chuckles, then sips her tea]

Hey, and if you play your cards right, you might even talk him into squishies.

[snickers; she'd heard plenty of euphemisms in her time, but that was definitely one of the most ridiculous]

Ah, not on the first date, Bastet-san~ He might think I'm too easy that way.

[He was never going to be able to look at stuffed animals the same way again.]

I don't think this counts as the first date--what about your craft-making trip?

Merely two people getting to know each other on a friendly basis~!

Well, you two did get pretty excited talking about fire.

[snickers, then scratches her belly]

Well, since you still want to talk to him after hearing about his past, I don't see how he'd say no.

Good! Besides, it's ice cream, how can anyone refuse?

[He draws the blanket a little closer, nose scrunching slightly.]

And we made you a rocket chair... You just didn't want to go for a ride on it.

Exactly. It's hard to pass up, even for the socially awkward.

[shifts, helping him pull it closed over her front]

Part of the fun of a litter is making people carry you, so rockets defeat the purpose. Besides, I wanted weaponry.

[Content hum. All warm and cozy now~]

Rockets are weaponry. And you can make people carry you in a chair.

[Lays her head against his shoulder instead of beneath his chin]

You're so difficult. I ask you for one little thing and you don't do it.

If I did everything you asked, you'd get tired of me.
