The new Wilderness was quite interesting... There were a lot of things to see and read, even if some of them were a little... odd. But the robot was fun to play with!
[Even if he did break it at first... But he managed to fix it and even brought back souvenirs.]
Lin-chan~ I have a gift for you~! And Bastet-san, I think you might be interested in seeing some of these.

Fine. But there's no need to make her see. We'll just tell her what they are.
Re: Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-14 03:02 am (UTC)[He paused in his chopping for a second.]
Though, she might not believe us if we didn't have proof... Should we leave one of the less... risqué ones, just in case?
Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-14 04:59 pm (UTC)I'll choose. You stay here in the meantime. [ Because the last thing she needed was him watching from over her shoulder like a creeper while she looked at-- whatever the hell those books were (porn).
She walked back to the sofa, clenching her jaw while she picked up the bag again and began skimming through the booklets. ]
Re: Quicklog; 1/?
Date: 2010-11-14 08:58 pm (UTC)Yo.
[She tosses a wave to Crimson in the kitchen, then heads straight for Lin, assuming these are the gifts Crimson had been talking about earlier.]
Already into them, hmm? Is my stuff over there too?
[Picks one up before Lin can say anything]

Date: 2010-11-14 09:03 pm (UTC)Well.
Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-14 09:52 pm (UTC)[Perfect timing, really. Crimson immediately skittered around the counter and towards them, flopping over the back of the sofa (conveniently catching a glimpse of the doujinshi Lin had been looking at) before reaching over her for the box of matches on the coffee table and holding it up.]
We were just waiting for you to show up since we thought you should have the honor of starting the fire! I asked Lin-san to pick out a less... well, revealing one to show you out of all the ones I was able to bring up.
[Crimson, master bullshitter. And trying to shift all the blame from Lin onto himself. Because he really, really didn't want Lin trying to kill him for the rest of his days here.]
Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-14 10:41 pm (UTC)She glanced at him. Oh. Oh. Lin really thought he would have blamed her for everything to make her look like a pervert in Bastet's eyes. Because that's the kind of thing he would have found funny, isn't it? But she tried not to look surprised at all, otherwise Bastet really might not believe him.
Maybe that intervention bought him a few hours. ]
W-what he said.
[ But just in case she dropped the book right back into the bag. ]
I didn't even look-- [ --too much.] Let's... Burn them.
Re: Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-15 02:07 am (UTC)And this is your idea of a gift for her?
[Ignores the matches, rolling up the book she currently has and closing her hand around it.]
Hadou no 54, Haien.
[A small, purple burst of energy flares between her fingers, incinerating the book. She motions to everything on the couch.]
Is this all of it?
[Her tone makes it clear that if it isn't, she expects to be told.]
Re: Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-15 02:20 am (UTC)[Crimson quickly gathers everything up and shoves them into the bags before lugging them out the door. He likes that couch, thank you very much.]
The recipe book on the counter is her present. Really, Bastet-san, thinking that I would be so crass when I only showed them to her because I needed her opinion on what to do...
[He waves them out the door. No burning down his apartment, as much as you would like to, Bastet.]
I couldn't bring all of them back up from the Wilderness, so shall we?
Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-15 09:59 pm (UTC)She wouldn't have minded burning down Crimson's couch, Crimson's house, and possibly Crimson himself, but her priority right now is getting rid of those things before Bastet could read more. Surely she wouldn't be as traumatized as Lin is, but still.
She nods. ]
We can go. We'll come back in time, you can finish cooking in the meantime. [ Yes. Having a good excuse to get Crimson out of her way. How lovely. ]
Re: Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-15 11:26 pm (UTC)I would think figuring out what to do would be more than obvious.
[She follows him outside, happy to get this over with. His excuse about needing a second opinion is bullshit; he knows damn well she'd want all this destroyed, which is why he brought the materials up and called her over in the first place. And despite what he thinks, she has no intention of burning down his house; after more than two years living in a giant tree--not to mention living through a horrible inferno--one got very very careful using fire in the residences.]
[She looks over at Lin.]
Did you want to go down now?
Re: Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-17 01:42 am (UTC)[There was promise of a good fire with purple flames that had sparked a flare of recognition in him, he wasn't going to miss that!]
Besides, if I finish cooking by the time you guys get back, Lin-san won't be able to learn how to make the duck stir-fry.
Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-17 02:17 pm (UTC)And he had already started cooking, if she's supposed to learn she has to do it now. But maybe she can have some patience and get rid of him later. So Lin turns back to Bastet. ]
There is no rush, we can go whenever you want.
Re: Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-24 07:01 am (UTC)Let's go later, then, so we don't interrupt your lesson. [Turns back towards the house, laying a brief, careless hand on Lin's head.] Maybe I should watch too.
Re: Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-24 09:08 am (UTC)[You know, the large, body-length pillow with a picture of a scantily clad Yoruichi stretched out along it. And he's totally not pointing it out just because he wants to 'hadou' thing again, nope!]
But that can be dessert.
[No double innuendo there! Instead, he'll just dig around in the cupboard before pulling out a wok and setting it on the stove, turning on the heat before drizzling in the oil, placing himself to the side so that Bastet and Lin would be able to see clearly.]
Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-25 08:03 pm (UTC)As she walked back inside she briefly glanced at the pillow, then focused only on Crimson and what he was doing. Not that she actually thought he had anything to teach her, but Bastet surely would have appreciated the effort. Acting like an adult was always appreciated. ]
Re: Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-26 12:49 am (UTC)[Once back in the house, she settles herself against the kitchen wall to watch Crimson cook.]
What kind of oil is that?
[She figures it can't hurt to learn one more dish; she only knows how to make about three things, and sometimes getting takeout is a hassle.]
Re: Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-26 08:45 am (UTC)[He replied simply, turning the bottle to show her the label as he waited for the oil to warm up before adding in chopped garlic, green onions and ginger, then pointing at the already chopped up pieces of vegetables and duck along with a bowl of sauce nearby.]
Make sure to prepare everything first.
Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-26 02:03 pm (UTC)Where did you learn?
[ Because Lin had tried and was sure in her previous life she had never spent much time learning to cook, but wasn't sure whether that was because she simply wasn't interested, or didn't have the time. ]
Re: Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-28 02:47 am (UTC)Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-29 03:31 am (UTC)[The pieces of duck were added into the wok and allowed to sit for a couple of minutes before he tossed them in the wok, skillfully keeping everything inside as he increased the heat.]
It's orange-ginger, if you're wondering.
Quicklog;
Date: 2010-11-29 09:39 pm (UTC)Do you know how to cook other things, or only this?
