[The handwriting appears slower and more clumsily than usual for those who are familiar with Crimson's. It might have something to do with the fact seeing his journal through his hand is a bit disconcerting. Or maybe he's drunk.]

I think I shall be spending the next couple of days in this Wilderness~♥ Bastet-san, care to join me~?

[Oddly enough, those who are able to sense his reiatsu will find him in the Scavenger's Yard rather than the Wilderness he said he's in.]

[Her faint sense of annoyance at having been misled gives way to alarm at his appearance; his face is translucent, the light of the Yard clearly visible through his skin.]

[She goes pale with shock, her mouth dropping open.]

_{[Chuckling nervously, he carefully reaches out with the pen and tucks it under her chin to make her close her mouth. It's not an easy task, but Crimson manages to pull it off without too much obvious trouble.]}

Oh, simply a case of give and take in the Wilderness~

[she frowns as he closes her mouth, then reaches out to take his wrist--]

[--only for her blood to run cold as her fingers go through him. She draws back her hand, inhaling silently.]

Souji's message. [she'd seen the journal entry and knew Kisuke would go,despite the risk] Did it happen to everyone there?

_{[There's an apologetic smile at that before he tilts his head in thought.]}

[Her mind races; with any luck this is temporary, and they'll all be back to normal soon.]

[She's glad they weren't killed (as she's unaware of Souji's death), but this is still unsettling]

...I see. That's very interesting.

[Fugue and the Exile were siblings? They'd been dragged into a war that amounted to sibling contention gone horribly wrong? It would be laughable if it wasn't all so horrifying.]

And it reminds me of something, but I can't think what.

[she stares at him for a bit, deep in thought]

Something about siblings...

[she pauses once again]

I got a memory about two kids once, and I didn't recognize either of them. One had fallen out of a treehouse, and the other was crying about it. I wonder if it was them.

_{[Crimson's eyebrows shot up at that, and he made no effort to hide it from her.]}

Are you sure? Did the crying boy perhaps have golden eyes?

No, mine are definitely more charming.

[If the children had been Fugue and the Exile, it stood to reason that he'd model his escape after a place that had apparently been important to them as children.]

[She couldn't help but wonder what had gone wrong as to turn them so firmly against each other.]

Yes, I have to agree that I do tend to prefer Bastet-san's~
